Gospel artiste K. Anani in a recent interview on Zylofon FM has stated that, to do well in the gospel ministrations and in the industry, a gospel minister needs to be guided by “a shepherd” who shall keep him on the right path and be fed with “undiluted word of God”.
For him, church support is very keen in the growth of every gospel artiste. It’s a breeding ground every gospel artiste or minister must never miss. To be firm, artistes must be ascribed to a particular church and further received guidance from a shepherd to enhance growth and progressions.
“There are a lot of things that happen in our industry when young artistes are coming up. Because we go to certain churches to minister, we are exposed to the different doctoring of God’s word“.
“It is impossible to tell which one an artiste shall fall for. At the end of the day, if he doesn’t fall for the right word, the fellow shall not be well built. He then comes out not strong as a believer; even though he identifies himself as a Christian”.
But on the contrary, gospel artiste Jayana has different opinion. She recently became the talk of the town when she stated categorically that, there is no need to be spiritual to do gospel. “When you do Gospel, there is a perception that you have to live a certain lifestyle which I find so wrong. You can argue with me on that but the fact that I have the voice to sing does not mean I should be spiritual,” she told Showbiz recently.
